Georgia State Patrol Investigating Crash on Poplar Springs Road

Hall County, GA - On Tuesday, April 9, 2023, former Hall County Republican Party Chairman James Gisonna tragically died in a motorcycle accident on Poplar Springs Road in the South Hall area.

According to the Hall County Coroner's Office, Gisonna sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash. Georgia State Patrol troopers were dispatched to the scene at the Johnson High School parking lot entrance at 6:25 pm.

Gisonna served as Chairman of the Hall County Republican Party from 2021 to 2023. The party expressed its grief and condolences in a social media post Wednesday.

The Georgia State Patrol is currently investigating the cause of the accident. No further information has been released at this time.
